Christie Potter, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC, is the owner and founder of Natural Choice Pediatrics. She was born in New Mexico, and moved to Oklahoma with her family when she was two years old. Raised in Owasso, just outside Tulsa, Christie developed a love for caring for children early in life. From volunteering in her church’s children’s ministry to babysitting neighborhood children and caring for her younger cousins, she always felt drawn to working with children and families.
Christie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tulsa, her father’s alma mater, along with a minor in Early Childhood Intervention focused on children from birth to age three, including premature infants. She then moved to the Dallas area and earned her Master of Science degree at Texas Woman’s University, where she completed the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She later earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Christie is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). Earlier in her career, she worked as a charge nurse on the pediatric unit at Medical City Dallas, developing a strong clinical foundation that continues to inform her approach to healthcare.
In 2008, Christie worked closely with Dr. Lauren Feder, who was a well-known homeopathic physician in Los Angeles. She also spent many years working alongside integrative and holistic pediatricians at Healthy Kids Pediatrics and Shine Pediatrics. Christie helped establish and develop Shine Pediatrics with Dr. Randy Naidoo over six years before founding Natural Choice Pediatrics.
Her clinical experience spans general pediatrics, preventive care, and integrative and holistic pediatric healthcare, including care for children with allergies, asthma, eczema, and gastrointestinal concerns. She values partnering with families to provide individualized care that considers each child’s overall health and well-being.
Christie’s work was published in the Journal of Integrative Dermatology in May 2026. Her pilot study explored the use of oral probiotics to reduce symptoms of atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema, in children. This work reflects her commitment to advancing integrative approaches to pediatric healthcare.
Christie and her husband, Bruce, married in September 2011 and live in Frisco, Texas. She has one daughter and three stepchildren. Her family lives nearby, and she enjoys spending time with them regularly.
Outside the office, Christie enjoys traveling, playing games, baking, watching movies, reading, and listening to true crime podcasts. She also loves spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and attending sporting events—especially Dallas Cowboys games. Christie and her family attend Life Church in McKinney, Texas.
