Ashley is originally from Plano, TX. She attended Baylor University and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ashley worked as a mom/baby nurse at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas for five years while obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dr. Cook was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. From an early age, she developed a heart for children, inspired by her own pediatrician as well as her experiences volunteering at her church, babysitting, and serving as a camp counselor at Kanakuk. Through these roles, she discovered a deep joy in building meaningful relationships with children and supporting them through important seasons of growth.

Crystal grew up in the DFW Metroplex and currently resides in Grand Prairie, TX. She received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University. Upon graduation, Crystal worked as a nurse in Labor and Delivery in Fort Worth, TX for six and a half years. During that time, she experienced many different birthing styles from tub deliveries to C-sections. She served as a preceptor to new nursing graduates and new hire nurses.

Wendy grew up in Albuquerque, NM. She moved to Texas to attend Texas Tech University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations. After several years of working in office equipment sales, she returned to school to pursue her love of medicine.
Wendy graduated from Collin College with her associate degree in nursing. She later returned to school and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas in Arlington.

Marlea is a native Texan and resides in Prosper, TX. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing fromTexas Tech University Health Science Center. Dr. Deborah Schmidt, DNP

Dr. Schmidt received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University, specializing in pediatric primary care. She is board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She implemented her doctoral project at Natural Choice Pediatrics, adding an anxiety screening to the depression screening already in place.

Dr. Emma Rhoten, DNP
DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC
Doctor of Nursing Practice

Dr. Rhoten earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before escaping the cold and moving to Texas to begin her nursing career at Children’s Health. For five years, she cared for children on the pediatric neurology unit, treating a wide range of neurological conditions while supporting families through some of life’s most challenging moments. Those experiences strengthened her desire to make an even greater impact by focusing on preventive and primary care.
