Emily grew up in Wylie, Texas. She knew from a young age that she wanted to have a career working with children. After completing a Certified Nursing Assistant elective in high school, she knew her calling in life was to care for children in the medical field. Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. During her senior year, Emily completed a student internship in the operating room at Scottish Rite for Children. Upon graduation, she began her career in general pediatrics at a hospital in Abilene, TX. She quickly made her way back to Dallas and began working as a nurse at Scottish Rite for Children.
Emily completed a Master of Science degree at University of Texas at Arlington. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care and has her certification through Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. During her school program, she completed over 100 clinical hours at Natural Choice Pediatrics.
Emily is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. When she is not at Natural Choice Pediatrics, Emily cares for children at an outside facility with a focus on orthopedic care.
Emily and Andrew have two small dogs that they adore, Macie and Maddie. Emily enjoys everything outdoors, staying active, baking, sports, and spending time with her family and friends.
