Marlea is a native Texan and resides in Prosper, TX. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from
Texas Tech University Health Science Center. She has experienced many different avenues in her nursing career including medical-surgical nursing and working with adult and pediatric open heart and
transplant patients.
Marlea later attended The University of Texas at Arlington for her master’s degree in nursing with a
focus on primary care pediatrics. She treasures the time she had working with congenital heart patients,
but she has really enjoyed taking care of the little humans in the primary care world over the past 10
years.
Marlea is also an adjunct faculty member for undergraduate nursing students pursuing their bachelor’s
degree. She feels passionate about continuing to learn and teaching others.
Marlea and her three boys love spending their time traveling, staying active in sports, and enjoying lots of fun in the water together
