Dr. Rhoten grew up in Wisconsin as the youngest of five children with four older brothers. Her passion for caring for children began at an early age, inspired by her mother, who spent 33 years as a NICU nurse. Watching her mother’s dedication to caring for newborns and their families sparked a lifelong dream of becoming a pediatric nurse.
Dr. Rhoten earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before escaping the cold and moving to Texas to begin her nursing career at Children’s Health. For five years, she cared for children on the pediatric neurology unit, treating a wide range of neurological conditions while supporting families through some of life’s most challenging moments. Those experiences strengthened her desire to make an even greater impact by focusing on preventive and primary care.
Dr. Rhoten went on to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University and is board certified as a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She believes every family deserves a provider who listens, partners with parents, and empowers them to make informed decisions about their child’s health. She is passionate about preventive care, child development, and helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong health.
As both a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a mom, Dr. Rhoten understands that no one knows a child better than his/her parents. She strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where families feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and never feel rushed. Her goal is for every parent to leave each visit feeling heard, supported, and confident in the care their child received.
Outside the office, Dr. Rhoten enjoys spending time with her husband, her son CJ, and their two dogs. Whether they’re exploring the outdoors, playing together, or relaxing with a good book, family time is her favorite way to recharge. She also proudly cheers on her hometown teams—the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Bucks (sorry, Dallas fans!).
