Dr. Cook was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. From an early age, she developed a heart for children, inspired by her own pediatrician as well as her experiences volunteering at her church, babysitting, and serving as a camp counselor at Kanakuk. Through these roles, she discovered a deep joy in building meaningful relationships with children and supporting them through important seasons of growth.
Dr. Cook earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University and began her nursing career at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. She spent six and a half years working in the acute care float pool, providing care for pediatric patients across a wide range of specialties, including oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, surgery, renal, neurology, general pediatrics, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. During her time at Children’s, she also served as a preceptor, mentoring and supporting new nurses as they transitioned into practice.
Inspired by her desire to build long-term relationships with families and make an impact through preventive care, Dr. Cook pursued advanced education. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University, specializing in pediatric primary care. She is board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) and completed a portion of her doctoral clinical training at Natural Choice Pediatrics. Dr. Cook is passionate about partnering with families to help children grow, thrive, and live their happiest and healthiest lives.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, attending her local church, staying active through walks and workout classes, cooking, and traveling. She is excited to care for your children and walk alongside your family at Natural Choice Pediatrics!
