Dr. Roberts was born and raised in East Texas. She knew from childhood that medicine was her passion. She was frequently described as a “kid magnet” and has always loved working with children. Some of her earliest experiences with children were in the church nursery and babysitting, as well as three years as a Pine Cove Christian Camp counselor during college.
Dr. Roberts’ higher education began at Baylor University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Child Development. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where clinical rotations included Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Dr. Roberts is a Texan at heart and a family girl, so she moved back to Dallas to start her nursing career at Children’s Medical Center. She worked there for more than seven years. At Children’s, she practiced on the gastroenterology/hepatology floor working with babies and children who had autoimmune disorders, feeding difficulties, failure to thrive, constipation issues, and liver failure.
Dr. Roberts then expanded her nursing experience on the clinical resource team, treating patients in multiple units including oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, surgery, renal, neurology, general pediatrics, endocrinology and the short stay unit of the emergency room.
Dr. Roberts received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University, specializing in pediatric primary care. She is board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). Dr. Roberts has a passion for partnering with families to help their children grow and thrive. She loves educating families on ways to promote health and prevent disease by developing a healthy lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Roberts loves to walk, serve at her church, cook, and spend time with friends and family. She is engaged to be married in March 2025 when she will become Dr. Claire Connor. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with you and and your children!
