NCP Now Offers Telehealth Visits
Hello to our NCP family,
Natural Choice Pediatrics is now offering Telehealth visits for all kinds of sick appointments!
In addition we now have drive-up COVID-19 swab testing for pre-screened patients (via Telehealth appointments only). This will allow our team to screen and assess possible symptomatic COVID-19 patients without having them physically come into the office.
If in the event following a Telehealth screening, we suspect a possible COVID-19 diagnosis, patients will receive instructions for drive-up swab testing.
Our goal is to only see well checks, non-contagious sick and non COVID-19 symptom sick appointments in the office at this time. Therefore, you can feel confident that the office is a safe environment for our patients.
Here are the details for a Telehealth appointment:
You can make Telehealth appointments by calling our office, or you can schedule an appointment submission through your patient portal.
You and your child will then conduct a virtual visit with one of our providers accessed through your patient portal via your computer or smartphone.
Your provider may order additional testing to be done at our office or a local lab if necessary.
Your provider may also call in prescription medications and determine the treatment plan for your child that will then be available on your patient portal.
We will bill your visit to insurance or credit card for self pay patients.
Please be aware that there might be higher copays, or your deductible may apply on these types of visits depending on your insurance plan. It is your responsibility to check your insurance plan to see if there are higher fees for Telehealth visits.
There is a $50 cancellation fee if a Telehealth appointment is cancelled with less than a two-hour notice.
We will not offer any refunds on Telehealth visits.
We are deeply humbled by all of our patients for continuing to come in for their appointments, as well as for the positive comments and additional ideas on how we could and have adjusted to this crisis so quickly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The following types of visits are available for Telehealth at this time:
Fever, cough/colds, nasal congestion, sinus infections
Flu, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, reflux, colic
Allergies, headaches, sinus issues, pink eye
Rashes, eczema, acne, possible UTIs, lice, pinworms
Warts, cuts, burns, bites
Medication refills, lab reviews
NOTE: Wheezing, difficulty breathing, asthma flare ups, anaphylactic reactions, young infants with fever and/or respiratory issues must be assessed in office or an urgentcare/emergency department and not via a Telehealth visit.
Insurance and self-pay are both accepted for Telehealth visits.
We will pre-collect a copay, coinsurance or self-pay fee at the time the appointment is scheduled.
You must have patient portal access in order to have the Telehealth visit due to HIPAA compliance regulations.
You must have video and sound capability via your smartphone or computer (simply sign in to your patient portal on your phone or computer).
