I have finally seized the moment.
It's a moment I've worked toward for so many years. And today is the day I get to open the doors to a brand new chapter -- Not only for me, my husband, and my daughter, but for you and your family as well.
The moment is here -- And I’m thrilled to open the doors to Natural Choice Pediatrics. For those of you who don’t know me, I am Christie Potter, Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and the founder of this brand new integrative pediatric office in Frisco, TX. For those of you who do know me, you’ll notice that I’m actually not “moving” anywhere. Natural Choice Pediatrics will operate out of the former location of Shine Pediatrics and Wellness Center in Frisco.
For me, this moment is the culmination of 15+ years of hard work, observation, practice, passion, and drive. Throughout this time, I’ve found myself immersed in the world of integrative pediatrics -- and I’ve never looked back.
I've witnessed children and their families, after years of chasing never-ending cycles of unhealthy systematic patterns, have their lives turned around through the integration of holistic and natural approaches. I thank the Lord everyday for guiding me down this path I was destined to embrace.
It really started in 2008, when I moved to Los Angeles, and could not easily find a job in pediatrics. I took a job in dermatology (Hollywood… Dermatology… Wow I could tell you some stories). But I missed the kids so badly. I stumbled upon an opportunity to develop and lead the pediatric department at Lauren Feder, MD’s nationally-recognized Center for Natural Family Medicine, a “homeopathic practice” in LA. Homeopathic… Hmm... Yeah, that piqued my interest -- But I had no idea at the time how this would change the course of my life forever.
I really missed my family and friends back home. I made my way back to Frisco, TX as soon as possible. I happened upon a job posting that stated that the practice “'leans towards natural approaches.” and instantly saw a fit. And it was this experience during my time with Dr. Deborah Bain at Healthy Kids Pediatrics in Frisco that I truly began developing my craft within this very unique approach to healthcare. I brought some of my experiences from LA to integrate with Dr. Bain’s approaches, such as Gemmotherapy and other homeopathics. It was also within my time at Dr. Bain’s office that Dr. Randy Naidoo joined the team.
A few years later, Dr. Naidoo and I joined forces to develop Shine Pediatrics and Wellness Center in Richardson, TX, within three years we opened the second office in Frisco.
I founded Natural Choice Pediatrics to expand the Integrative and holistic pediatric approach for my patients with new experiences, knowledge, growth, and friendships, as well as new techniques, new technologies, and new tools encompassing therapeutic essential oils, homeopathy and supplementation.
Thanks to these opportunities, I’ve been able to develop my abilities to observe, diagnose and treat my patients in a procedural integrative method. I've observed great successes. I've witnessed healing and restoration as the result of these learned techniques. I’ve seen such great outcomes in these kids, and I’m blessed to have partnered with so many DFW families to better their lives - traditionally and naturally.
I’m ecstatic to continue my passion practicing integrative pediatric healthcare at Natural Choice Pediatrics in Frisco. I look forward to getting to know new families and continuing established relationships.
